I’m all about beautiful, glowing skin. It’s actually pretty rare that I’ll put make-up on. To me, I’d much rather invest my time and resources into my skincare routine and be able to go out into the world fresh faced every day.
My skincare routine focuses on using clean, non-toxic products, that are also ideally cruelty free. In writing this post, I also realized that a lot my routine revolves around applying antioxidant and moisture-rich ingredients to my skin. I’ve realized that in order to achieve that glowy, dewy skin it’s all about hydration, hydration, hydration!

I also feel it’s important to say that impeccable skin requires a holistic approach. Yes, the products you use on your face and your routines matter, but it’s equally as important to eat a nutritious, whole food diet, to manage your stress and to get quality sleep each night.
But, everyone’s skin and skincare concerns are different. So what may work for me, won’t necessarily work for you.
If you’re curious as to how I keep my skin looking its best, keep reading to get the details.

MORNING
Cleanser:
Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser
This gel based cleanser smells like strawberries and is gently enough that it won’t strip your skin. All Indie Lee products are Leaping Bunny certified and are made all natural, antioxidant rich ingredients like wheat protein and tomato extract. It helps with brightening skin, uneven texture and dullness.
Toner:
Indie Lee CoQ10 Toner
A toner may not feel like an important step in your skincare routine – but trust me when I tell you that it’s extremely underrated. Toner helps exfoliate and rebalance your skin’s pH level. Indie Lee’s CoQ10 Toner also includes deeply hydrating ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid and Aloe Vera. The CoQ10 and Sage also make it highly antioxidant, protecting your skin from pollution and environmental stressors.
Serum:
Osea Hyaluronic Sea Serum
Hyaluronic Acid can hold up to 1,000x its weight in water, helping your skin retain moisture and ultimately look firmer and more plump. Hydration is critical in maintaining youthful skin, but especially so if you workout/sweat often or live in a dry climate. Osea’s Hyaluronic Sea Serum uses three molecular weights of hyaluronic acid and three organic seaweeds for an age-defying, antioxidant blend of vitamins and minerals.
Hydration + Brightening:
Drunk Elephant Rise + Glow Duo
This mini set from Drunk Elephant consists of the C-Firma Day Serum and the B-Firma Intensive Hydration Serum. The C-Firma Day Serum is an extremely potent blend of L-Ascorbic and Ferulic acid that brighten, firm and even complexion. The B-Firma Intensive Hydration Serum doubles down on hydration. It’s formulated with pro-vitamin B5 and pineapple ceramide to help your skin look healthy and illuminated. I blend the two serums together in my palm and apply together.
Eye Serum:
Indie Lee I-Waken Eye Serum
I struggle with genetic under eye dark circles, so trust me when I say I’ve tried the majority of eye creams on the market. Indie Lee’s I-Waken Eye Serum is one of the very few products I’ve found that actually makes a difference. In addition to helping brighten eyes, it all addresses puffiness and wrinkles. It’s made with incredible botanicals like horse chestnut, witch hazel, chamomile, arnica, spirulina and blackcurrant leaf.

Sunscreen:
Coola Full-Spectrum 360 Mineral Sun Silk Creme Organic Sunscreen SPF 30
Sun exposure is one the fastest ways to prematurely age your skin. That’s why I wear sunscreen on my face, neck and decollate basically every single day. Coola’s sun silk is incredibly lightweight and smooth. In addition to providing sun protection it also protects against HEV light, IR and pollution.

NIGHT
Cleanser:
Meow Meow Tweet Lemon Rose Cleansing Oil
Oil cleansing has been a game changer for my skin. It’s incredible nourishing and helps your skin retain its natural oils. Meow Meow Tweet’s Lemon Rose Cleansing Oil smells so fresh and delicious. It feels lightweight but is deeply cleansing and purifying. If I happen to be wearing makeup, I’ll double cleanse; first, with the Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser and then second, with this oil cleanse. If I’m just using the oil cleanser, I’ll apply on a dry face, gently rub for 45 seconds and then rinse off with some water. Occasionally, I’ll apply on a dry face, rub for 45 seconds and then hold a warm, moist towel on my face for 30 seconds to open my pores. I’ll then use the same towel to gently wipe the oil off.
Mist:
LUMION Skin Mist
The Lumion Skin Mist is everything. It just feels like water when you spray it on, but it is SO refreshing, purifying, hydrating and calming. The star ingredient here is HOCL, which naturally occurs in your white blood cells, defending your body from harmful bacteria and inflammation. Other ingredients also include electrolyzed oxygenated water and dead sea salts. This is also incredible to use for breakout prone skin. TIP: take this on the plane to help refresh mid-flight.
Serum:
Osea Hyaluronic Sea Serum
I also use Osea’s Hyaluronic Sea Serum at night, but I’ll put it on my skin at the same time as the LUMION Skin Mist. Once the two products are on my face, instead of rubbing them in, I gently press them into my face. This helps the products absorb more deeply and doubles down on the hydration.
Final Layer:
I tend to mix things up once it comes to the final layer of my nightime skincare routine depending on what my skin needs at the moment. Here are a few products I tend to rotate between and why.
If I’m breaking out:
Osea Blemish Balm + Indie Lee Squalane Facial Oil
I can confidently say that Osea’s Blemish Balm took my skin from breakout prone to clear and glowing. It’s an oil free, lightweight, yet powerful moisturizer that balances hydration and breakouts. The ingredients include USDA organic algae, mineral peptides, tea tree, rosemary, juniper, cypress and thyme essential oils. It also smells so fresh and clean (like most Osea products).
Occasionally, I’ll feel like I need more hydration than just the blemish balm. In which case, I’ll mix Indie Lee’s Squalane Facial Oil in with the balm. The only ingredient is the squalane oil. It’s extremely bioavailable and non-greasy, leaving your face feeling silky soft and nourished.
If I need intense hydration:
Laneige Water Sleeping Mask
The Laneige Water Sleeping Mask was my first K-Beauty (Korean Beauty) product. It’s a gel mask with concentrated Hydro Ionized Mineral Water to deeply hydrate skin. It also smells great with Laneige’s Calming Sleepscent, made with orange flower, rose and sandalwood. Put this on and wake up with a serious glow.
If I want to smooth wrinkles and fine lines:
Kiehl’s Ginger Leaf & Hibiscus Firming Mask
The Kiehl’s Ginger Leaf and Hibiscus Firming Mask has more an air-whipped, velvety feel to it. Put it on before bed and the blend of botanical ingredients in this overnight mask will work to quickly smooth and firm skin.
If I want cell turnover and rejuvenation:
Kiehl’s Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate
Think of this product as a natural chemical peel, safe enough to use nightly in your own home. It uses ingredients like quinoa husk extract and phytic acid as natural exfoliants that accelerate surface skin cell turnover. I was using this product often before my wedding and wow, did it really make a difference. I especially love it for resurfacing skin to help with scarring. You also use this product overnight.
WEEKLY MASKS
Clearing, Detoxifying and Blemish Clearing
Indie Lee Clearing Mask
Indie Lee Clearing Mask uses salicylic and glycolic acid to exfoliate skin cells. It also have Bentonite clay and colloidal sulfur to draw impurities out of your pores, while zinc oxide, chamomile and red seaweed extract help soothe, condition and hydrate skin.
Purifying, Blemish Clearing and Complexion
Osea Red Algae Mask
I had this mask used on me during a facial once, and I immediately fell in love. You can immediately feel it working after you apply. The star ingredients here are French red kaolin clay, which purified and decongests your skin, and organic red algae, which deeply hydrates and firms skin, minimizing fine lines and wrinkles. This mask is perfect for blemish prone skin and also helps minimize the appearance of pores.
Intense Hydration
Fresh Rose Face Mask
A silky, gel mask with REAL rose petals in it. While most times I’m applying a mask it’s to exfoliate and decongest, sometimes you just need to drench your skin with some serious hydration. Enter the Fresh Rose Face Mask. Rose water is known for soothing and toning. This mask also uses cucumber and aloe vera extract for cooling, hydration and calming, algae to retain moisture and antioxidant-rich green tea to brighten and protect your skin.
Blackhead Clearing
Philosophy purity made simple Pore Extractor Mask
Ugh, blackheads. This is without a doubt one of my top skin concerns. I’m constantly on the hunt for new products or tools that will help me keep my t-zone fresh and clean. It uses white kaolin clay and salicylic acid to get deep into those pores and clean those bad boys out. It’s also beneficial for helping with acne and dullness.
OCCASIONAL
Collagen Boosting, Scar Removal, Hyperpigmentation:
Banish Kit: At Home Microneedling + Vitamin C Oil
If you’ve ever seen photos of celebrities getting “blood facials,” that’s microneedling. Except, don’t worry, Banish’s microneedle roller is safe enough to use at home. The needles are super small and the handheld roller is very simple to use – maybe I’ll make a how-to video for you guys. Basically, what’s happening when you microneedle is that the baby titanium bristles prick the surface of your skin, creating micro channels or microscopic punctures. This process rejuvenates and stimulates the appearance of your skin, boosts collagen production, reduces scars and hyperpigmentation, evens texture and tone, and smoothes fines lines. The micro punctures also help products absorb better, so whatever you put on your skin immediately afterwards can have more profound effects. I follow up my microneedling sesh, with Banish Oil – a natural, potent serum made with Vitamin C, E and Ferulic Acid.

Blemish Removal:
Might Patch Hydrocolloid Acne Patch
You may have heard me talk about these patches before on my Instagram, but holy shit. How did I not know these existed before this year? Basically, they are these small, translucent stickers you apply over a pimple and poof, in 6 hours it’s either gone or dramatically reduced. Hydrocolloid bandages have been used in the medical community for years, and this method of helping heal wounds is finally making its way to the skincare world. It works by gently absorbing excess fluids, like pus and oil, from your pimple, while also protecting for pimple aka wound, from bacteria, gunk and your fingers (if you’re a picker like me). Your blemish basically heals in a sterile, moist environment – which by the way, is key for reducing breakouts. For years, we were taught it’s all about drying a pimple out, but I’ve recently learned its actually about hydrating your skin!
Contouring, Lymphatic Drainage:
Jade Rolling
Jade rolling is so simple, yet so effective. All you do is gently roll a crystal across your face and it helps with reducing inflammation and puffiness in your skin. It also stimulates your lymphatic system, brightens your complexion, tightens pores and helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles. If you’re wondering how to jade roll, I posted a tutorial video in my Instagram skincare story highlights.
Exfoliation:
Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is an exfoliation treatment that removes peach fuzz and dead skin cells from the surface of your skin with a tiny scalpel. If you’re wondering if the hair on your face will grow back and you’ll have a beard – the answer is no, it won’t. TRUST ME, I did a ton of research into this before taking the plunge because as someone with thick, dark hair, I was super nervous that it would grow back and all of a sudden I’d be a man. The reason it doesn’t grow back thicker is because the peach fuzz on your face is a different type of hair follicle than the ones on your head, legs, underarms etc. IMO, tinkle makes the best at-home razors. Wondering how to dermaplane? Watch my tutorial video in my skincare Instagram story highlight.
Exfoliation:
Epicurien Micro-Derm Ultra-Refining Scrub
This is a spa-grade scrub is made with sustainable bamboo micro-crystals and natural extracts that help loosen the top layer of your skin, providing you with a serious exfoliation. It was recommended to me by an esthetician who said it would help deal with clogged pores and thus, blackheads. A little goes a long way and you must be very gently when using this scrub! No more than one use per week!
